Mass of Christian burial for Clement Scott Cazes will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 4, 2005 in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church with the Rev. Dan O'Connor officiating. Burial will be in Alexandria Memorial Gardens under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria.

Mr. Cazes, 77, of Alexandria died Tuesday, March 1, 2005 in the Summit Retirement Center.

He was a member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, Alexandria and was a member of Alexandria Council #1134 Knights of Columbus, where in 1966 he was named Knight of the Year. He became an Eagle Scout as a member of the Boy Scouts of America; as an adult he became Scout Master of Troop #2 and was assistant Scout Master for Troop #4. Mr. Cazes was a veteran of World War II and was member of the VFW Post #1736. He was also a member of the American Legion Post # 3 for 55 years. During his working life he was sales representative for Price Office Supply.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel "Boots" Marvay Cazes; and parents, Charles Mendez and Theresa Parise Cazes.

Those left to cherish his memory include his brothers, Charles James Cazes, Sr. of Alexandria and John E. Cazes and his wife Linda of Pineville; sisters, Annie Cazes Price and her husband Willard of Alexandria and Jeanette Cazes Lea; good friend, James Francisco; and 27 nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Thursday at Hixson Brothers, Alexandria from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. until service time.

Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church "Outreach Program" 401 21st St., Alexandria, La., 71301.

Pallbearers will be James Franisco, Charles J. Cazes, Jr., Todd Curtis and Keith Hood.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Dallas M. Lea, Dr. John E. Cazes, Jr. and Jason Erb.
