A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Annie Cazes Price will be held at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church with Father Daniel O’Connor officiating. Burial will be in Alexandria Memorial Gardens under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria.

The family requests that visitation be observed at Hixson Brothers, Alexandria Friday, October 26, 2018 from 5:00-8:00 p.m.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Charles James Cazes, Jr., Dallas Lea, Jr., John Cazes, Jr., Dennis Robitaille, Keith Hood, and Todd Curtis.

Annie was born July 11, 1924 and passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at her residence with loved ones. She was loved by many and served as a mentor to many. She was a member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church. Annie was a very loyal employee of the Rapides Bank and Trust Company for 43 years. During these years, she belonged to many banking organizations and served in many offices. She retired as Sr. Vice President. Annie was very active in the Alexandria Business and Professional Women’s Organizations as well as the LA Federation of Business and Women’s Organization. Over the years, she served in many offices in both clubs and received many awards for her hard work. She was also an active member in the Historical Society, Alexandria Museum of Art, Kent House and a Charter Member of the Altrusa Organization.

Annie was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, James Willard Price; parents, Charles and Theresa Parise Cazes; brothers, Charles James Cazes, Sr. and Clement Scott Cazes; brother-in-law, Dallas Lea, Sr.; sisters-in-law, Madeline Cazes and Ethel Cazes and last but not least, her beloved kitty, “Sugar Baby”.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sister, Jeanette Cazes Lea; brother, John E. Cazes, Sr. (Linda); nieces and nephews, Mary Honshul, Barbara Robitaille (Dennis), Charles J. Cazes, Jr., Dr. Dallas Lea, Jr., (DeAnna), Kathy Erb (Jason), Debbie Curtis (Todd), Dr. John Cazes, Jr. (Christie) and Theresa Hood (Keith). The family would like to thank Annie’s special caregivers Relda St. Amant, Patsy Gibson and her niece Mary Honshul. We also want to thank CHRISTUS Hospice and Palliative Care for taking such good care of Ms. Annie.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church at 401 21st Street, Alexandria, LA 71301.
