Last surviving child of Charles A. and M. Nathalie (nee Jung) Donovan, brother of the late Rev. Francis Donovan of Springfield Cape Girardeau, Agnes, Robert, John, Margaret Fecher, Joseph, Gregory, Thomas, and Nathalie Marty and father of the late Bridget.

He is survived by his spouse of 65 years, Lorraine (nee Simmons) and nine children, Judy (Bob) Keller, Charlotte (Tom) Ruzicka, Mark (Theresa), Matthew (Cathy), Dan (Jayne), Mary, John, Luke, and Robert (Kristi), twentytwo grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. Beloved uncle, cousin, and friend. Charlie served in the Pacific Theatre in WWII and was a longtime parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi. He also attended the traditional Mass at Saint Agatha and Saint Francis de Sales.
