She had been a Resident of The Carrington for several years.
Mrs. Fitzgerald was originally from Macon, MS but spent her later life in Meridian and finally in Starkville to be near her Family.
At the time of her Retirement she worked in the Extension Service at Mississippi State University.
Mrs. Fitzgerald was actively involved in her Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church, Starkville, for many years.
She had several hobbies over the years but caring for Roses was her Favorite.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at Welch Funeral Home with Burial at Magnolia Cemetery in Meridian, MS.
Rev. Clifton Curtis will conduct the Service.
Mrs. Fitzgerald is survived by her Daughter, Agatha Rawson Pilgrim of Kingwood, TX; Son, William E. Fitzgerald of Lafayette, LA; Grandchildren, Susan Ankenbrandt and Husband, John; Janet Ware and Husband, Robby; all of Kingwood, TX; Billy Fitzgerald and Wife, Dorothy; and David Fitzgerald; all of Lafayette, LA; Great Grandchildren, Logan and Morgan Ankenbrandt; Cody, Joe, David and Daniel Fitzgerald; and five Great Great Grandchildren.
Mrs. Fitzgerald is preceded in death by her Husband, William E. Fitzgerald, Sr.; her Parents, Phelean and Josephine Hunter; her Grandson, James Fitzgerald; and her Sons In Law, Glen Rawson and Robert Pilgrim, and three Brothers.
The Family would like to express their Sincere Appreciation to the Staff of The Carrington for Their Loving Care of Our Family Member.
In lieu of Flowers, Memorials may be made to the Building Fund at First Baptist Church in Starkville.
