HENRIETTA DUNCAN
Henrietta Duncan was born in Ross county, Ohio, February 13th, 1828, and died at her home in this city (Orgeion), June 15th, 1890, aged 62 years, 4 months, and 2 days. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Vinsonhaler, moved to Nodaway county, Missouri, in the year 1841, when then vet the Indian dwelled, and Henrietta's early and only education was that which the frontier settler received. She was a healthful girl; sound in body and if possible, possessed of a more sound mind. from her parents she inherited loxxx, and she added to this trimness, truth and justice. Slander was unknown to her tongue, and malice had no shelter in her thoughts. In religion she worshipped a true and living God, the creator of all things. To practice charity unobtrusively was her delight. For these qualities neighbors respected, friends worshipped, and children clung to her.
She was married to Judge J.W. Duncan, January the 5th, 1872, and lived with him the remainder of her life a Oregon, Missouri. She lift us---we loved her so intensely--- and we weep.
