John Adamick, Sr., 74, of Pleasant Ridge, passed away Tuesday at 9 p.m., at his home. The funeral will be Friday morning at his home at 9 a.m. with services following at the SS Peter and Paul's Catholic Church in Collinsville at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery near Edwardsville. The body will be at the Straube Funeral Home until Thursday night.
Mr. Adamick was born in Austria-Hungary and imigrated to America when a young man. His marriage occurred in St. Louis and he later moved to Glen Carbon where he worked in the mines. Several years ago he retired and moved to Pleasant Ridge to reside. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Adamick, four sons, John W. and Albert Adamick of Pleasant Ridge, Ben Adamick, Chicago, Vincent Adamick, Glen Carbon; two daughters, Mrs. Catherine Grego and Mrs. Anna Menk of Edwardsville. He also leaves 14 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
