CATHERINE 31. BASSO, 85, who formerly lived with her daughter, Mrs. Philip J. FltzSimons, 14741 Kittridge St., died Saturday at the home of her son, Rt. Rev. Monsignor John F. Basso, rector of Holy Cross church In Corpus Christi, Tex. Solemn Requiem mass was celebrated Sunday. Burial will be in Indianapolis from St. John's church where the Basso family formerly were members. In addition to Monsignor Basso and Mrs. FltzSlmons, Mrs. Basso is survived by two sons, Leo and Paul of Indianapolis, and by three daughters: Mrs. L. B Wynn of Sierra Madre; Sister St Agnes and Sister Emerita of the Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-woods, Indiana. Other survivors are three sisters and brother living in California, six great grandchildren, and by 22 grandchildren, two of whom are Sisters of Providence.
