Mrs. Williams, 77, of Quitman, Mississippi died Friday, December 14, 2012 at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, Mississippi.
She is survived by her husband, David L. Williams, Son and Daughter–in-law Mark & Holly Williams, Brother James Briscoe Waddell, Jr., Sisters Margaret Katherine Brunch & Betty Ann Lockard, Grandchildren Andrew Mark Williams & Faith Elizabeth Williams.
Mrs. Williams was born March 13, 1935 to James Briscoe Waddell, Sr & Margaret Susan Kritz Waddell at home on the farm in the Grassy Creek Community in Pike County, Missouri. She married David Lamar Williams in Kansas City, Missouri, November 15, 1958. She and Mr. Williams spent most of their life in Quitman, Mississippi. In 1980 she established her real estate business and served the people of Clarke County, Mississippi until her retirement December 31, 2011.
She enjoyed being a stay at home mom, was a Cub Scout Den Mother for pack #35. She served on the building committee for the First Baptist Church in Quitman. She served a two year term as president of Clarke County Chamber of Commerce and also served on the restoration committee for the Quitman Depot.
She was preceded in death by her parents James Briscoe & Margaret Susan Kritz Waddell, and a sister Hazel Irene Edwards.
