Della Jo Minnix Lynch, 82, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Hospice of Wichita Falls.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Heritage Assembly of God Church in Wichita Falls with Pastor Ron Bernard, and Senior Adult Pastor Claude Hendricks, officiating. Interment will follow at Restland Cemetery in Olney, Texas under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls. The family will receive friends from 6 until 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at the funeral home.
Jo was born to the late Herbert Price and Edna Carroll Minnix on January 24, 1930 in Holliday, Texas, and resided there for most of her life. She married Jess Dwain Lynch on May 15, 1947. He preceded her in death after 52 years in 1999. In 2002, she married Emory C. Kincaid. He preceded her in death in 2009.
Jo was a displayer for Home Interiors and Gifts from 1978 to 1985. After her retirement, her closest Home Interiors friends formed "The Chic Club" that have remained friends for over 25 years. Her calling in life was to be a caretaker, and she fulfilled it faithfully until her last breath. She was a dedicated member of Heritage Assembly of God Church and dearly loved her church family. Jo was an ordained minister through World Ministry Fellowship. She was an excellent cook and had many requests for her special cakes until health problems intervened.

She was preceded in death by her infant daughters, Lola Jean and Edna Darlene; and her son, Jess Wayne in 1965 at the age of 16. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Thelma Stallcup; and her brothers, C.P. "Boog" Minnix, Jim Minnix, and Bob Minnix.
She is survived by her daughter, Jo Carol "Missy" Hogue and husband Ron of Wichita Falls; her sister, Ella Mae Price of Houston; a brother, Olen Minnix and wife Harlene of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; her grandchildren, Rickey Hogue of Savannah, Georgia, Sgt. Cory Hogue of Ft. Sill, Oklahoma, and Sarah Snow and husband Shaun of Wichita Falls; her step-children, Mary Ann Morgan and husband Mike of Pampa, Melissa Barry of Jacksboro, and Joey Kincaid and wife Cheryl of Holliday; step-grandchildren, Jeffrey Hogue and wife Kem, Rudy Hogue and wife Vicki, Lisa Ann Holly and husband Lyn, Tammy Kingcade and husband Ricky, Tandy Glysick, Michelle Ervin, April Shaw, Rickey Morgan, Robert Frie and wife Tonya, Rodney Frie, Chris Kincaid and wife Tracy, and Joseph Kincaid and wife Samantha; three great-grandchildren; twenty-three step great-grandchildren; thirteen step great-great grandchildren; and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend special appreciation to Rev. Claude and Donna Hendricks and Johnny and Pat Veal for their love and support.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Jay Chadwick, Tony Cole, Kevin Cunningham, Jerry Johns, Ray Jones, and Michael Ladd.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Jess & Wayne Lynch Memorial Scholarship, 1705 Woodridge Dr., Wichita Falls, TX 76310; or to Hospice of Wichita Falls, 4909 Johnson Rd., Wichita Falls, TX 76310.
