Maren Eliassen's headstone lies south of her grandparents, Mary and Nels Christiansen, in row E, lot 11 (north center of cemetery, just a few lots south of the northern edge)

Looking northeast at the Christiansen family plot. Maren Eliassen's gravestone is the flat gray marker near the lower right corner. To her left is the wedge shaped headstone shared by her grandparents, Mary and Nels Christiansen. On the far left is a brown granite marker on a gray base for William and Nelsena Buchardt.

Enterprise, Blair, Washington County, Nebraska --October 7, 1914

Mrs. Chas. Eliasen died at Florence, last week and on Friday the body was brought up on the train to Blair, and taken to Orum for interment. She leaves a husband and two small children. Mr. Eliasen is a brother of Geo. Eliasen, Memorial #114410258 of Blair, and their mother Marie Dorthea Eliassen 114410258 also resides here. Deceased had been ill with cancer for two years.

Pilot--October 7, 1914

The remains of Mrs. Chas. Eliassen were brought up from Florence Sunday morning and taken to St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Orum, where Rev. Wein conducted a short funeral service. Interment was made in the churchyard nearby. Myra Christiansen was born not far from the place her body is now lying twenty years ago, her parents being Mr. and Mrs. Chris Christiansen, who now live near Florence. Besides her husband and parents she leaves two boys, one two years of age and a babe nine weeks old. Chas. is a brother of George Eliassen, of this city.

The union of Maren (Myra) Christiansen and Charles Earl Andrew Eliassen was blessed with two sons:

1)Raymond Charles Eliassen (Ellison) - (1912 - 1956),
* Wife: Lola Beatrice Lambert (1916 - )

2)Gilmer Douglas Eliassen (Smith) - (1914 - 2000) Memorial #28039006
* 1st Wife: Constance Ella Edman (1914 - 2005)
* 2nd Wife: Clara Agnes Weisse (1916 - 2002)
