Mrs. Louise Awerdick, 92, native
of Rome, died Monday in the
home of fier daughter, Mrs. Edwin
Randolph, Melrose, Mass. She
had been ill for some time.
Born in Rome in 1851, she was
the daughter of the late Mr. and
Mrs. Klein. She attended Rome
schools and later was married
to the late David Awerdick, cigar
box manufacturer. Following the
death of her husband, Mrs. Awerdick
ran the factory for several
years until her daughter's marriage.
At that time she went
to live with her daughter in Melrose.
Besides her daughter, she is
survived by two nieces, Mrs. David
Karlen and Mrs. Lowell Williams, both of Rome,
Funeral services will be held in Melrose, Mass., and the remains will be brought here for
interment in Rome Cemetery.
