Ruby Geneva Rutledge, 95, went to meet her heavenly father Dec. 13 in Denver.

She was born Jan. 17, 1917, in Fort Collins, Colo., to Art and Nola Jones, the second of 12 children.

In 1936, she married John H. Biggs. They moved to Cheyenne where she lived for 67 years.

Ruby retired from De Paul Hospital after 28 years where she worked as a nursing assistant. She continued to be active in the community, helping her many friends. She married Harold Rutledge in 1985, with whom she had 15 wonderful years. She was preceded in death by both of her husbands.

Ruby loved to cook and garden and was known for her beautiful gladiolas and sweet peas. She was a member of the Miracle Valley Assembly of God Church for many years.

She is survived by a son, John E. Biggs and his wife Beverly of Fort Collins; her daughter, Shirley Greer of Denver; four grandchildren, Cheryl Hibbs, Julie Yuvienco, Dean Biggs and Nancy Plehn-Gimbel; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorann Berry of Fort Collins and Rosella Deriso of Americus, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.
