Virgil L. Aldridge, 78 passed away December 14, 2012. He was a resident of Indianapolis. He was born October 6, 1934 in Nicholasville, Kentucky to the late James and Thelma (Montgomery) Ingram.
He married Maxie Childress on March 6, 1976 and she survives. He is also survived by his children, Donald F. (Reecy) Aldridge, Virgil L. (Jennifer) Aldridge, Jr., Susan (Erik) Kreuzman, and Jamie Smith; nine grandchildren; a brother, William (Jewell) Aldridge; and a sister, Barbara Abney. He was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Sparks.
Virgil retired after 25 years of service for RCA and 20 years of service for Rolls Royce as a tool and dye maker.
A service will be conducted at 11:00 am Wednesday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Stirling-Gerber Chapel, 5950 E. Thompson Rd., Indianapolis. Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Virgil will be laid to rest in Orchard Hill Cemetery.
