Albert Albertsen, of whose death brief mention was made yesterday, was an old resident of Burlington, coming to this city twenty-eight years ago. He was married in 1877 (1875) to Miss Anna Beck, daughter of Jacob Beck. Besides a wife and five children the deceased leaves a brother, Peter Albertsen, of Chicago, a sister in Davenport, and another sister, Mrs. Frank Layal of this city.

Albert Albertsen was born 1851 in Lowenstedt, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, the son of Jens Albertsen and Ingeborg Brodersen. He emigrated from Hamburg, Germany on the ship Saxonia March 9, 1870. He was 19. He married Anna Beck, the daughter of Jacob Beck, Nov. 9, 1875 in Des Moines Co., Iowa.

Several other siblings also emigrated, Catherine born 1854, Sonke, Johannes, Christian, Grethe wife of Johannes Petersen and Christina, the wife of Jessen.
