Maringouin, La., June 25 — Funeral services for Walter Louis Rather, 57-year-old school teacher of Rosedale who died this morning after an extended illness, will be held this morning from the residence. Rabenhorst Funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Rather was formerly of Utica, Miss., and had resided in Rosedale for 22 years.
He is survived by his widow, the former Dora Mason; two sons, John of Rosedale and Walter of Albuquerque, N.M.; one daughter, Mrs. F. D. McMillan of Freeport, Tex.; and a brother, Leon, of Mobile, Ala.
