ATHENS - Marion Lanell "Nell" Scott, 71, passed away August 2, 1910 in Tyler. She was born March 14, 1939 in Oakwood to the late Jack and Evelyn Louise Wright Russell and had resided in Athens since 1975. Nell formerly was employed at Curtis Mathis Manufacturing Company and Walmart. Survivors include her husband George B Scott, Athens; son, Randy Fambrough and wife Donna, Athens; Daughter Cynthia A Gabel, Brownsboro; Brothers Roger Dale Russell, Athens, Harold Ray Russell, Houston; Sisters, Dot Wise, Brownsboro, Wanda Jane Aaron, Red Oak; Grandchildren: Ryan Seth Fambrough and Justin Anderson Gabel. She was preceded in death by her first husband: Anderson B Fambrough, Brothers: Lee Russell, Jack Edward Russell, Billy Wayne Russell, Sister; Kathy Ann Russell. Special thanks are extended to Dr. Frank Ward, Jennifer Fleming, nurses and pharmacy at Tyler Cancer Center and nurses at Trinity Mother Frances Hospital for innumerable acts of love and attention which served to enrich Nell's final months.
