Frances Aragón, age 89, beloved and devoted mother, grandmother and sister was welcomed into the arms of the Lord our Savior, early on Wednesday morning, January 9, 2002.
Ms. Aragón was born in Cuba, NM to the late Edwardo and Aurelia Aragón.
Frances was a resident of Albuquerque and a parishioner of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Ms. Aragón was preceded in death by her husband, Tomas Aragón, two brothers, Ross Aragón and Gorgonio Aragón.
Frances is survived by her loving children, Johnny L. Aragón and Grace A. Durán and her husband, Orlando both of Albuquerque, her two precious grandchildren, Johnny D. Aragón and Miguel Andres Durán. Also surviving are, three brothers, Pablo Aragón of Cuba, NM, Roberto Aragón of Durango, CO and Manuel Aragón of Salt Lake City, UT, three sisters, Pablita Lucero of Jemez Springs, NM, Lupita García of Los Lunas, NM and Sara Trujillo of Farmington, NM and numerous other relatives. Frances will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those who knew and loved her.
Visitations will today from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary, where a Rosary will be recited this evening at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, with Fr. Joe Vigil as celebrant. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Johnny D. Aragón, Manuel Aragón, Mariano Lucero Jr., Gilbert Durán, Lawrence Durán and Christopher Durán.
