OBITUARY: The Belleville Telescope, July 22, 1971

Bessie Lenora Frey, daughter of Elvin Chester and Mary Kathryn Gooch Ball was born on a farm near Belleville April 14, 1896 and died July 13, 1971 at the home of her son in Weston, Mo., at the age of 75 years, 2 months and 29 days.

She was united in marriage to John J. Frey, June 6, 1915 and to this union two sons were born.

She spent her entire life in the Belleville community and for the last 40 years operated a hemstitching and art goods store. In failing health she went to her son's home last October.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Francis on January 27, 1959. Survivors are: her son, Raymond and wife of Weston, Mo.; two sisters, Mrs. W. F. Kuhn and Mrs. W. G. Klaumann, both of Belleville; five grandchildren; two great;grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the Tibbetts Mortuary July 16 with the Rev. John W. Frint officiating. Interment was in the Belleville Cemetery.
