Ann Hasket was born the 2d of 4th mo 1810 in Warren County, Ohio, a daughter of Thomas and Ann (Murdock) Haskett. She married the 2d of 2d mo 1832 at the Duck Creek Meetinghouse in Henry Co., IN, John H. Bales. She and her husband were original members at Spiceland when that meeting was set off from Duck Creek. In 1868 Ann was appointed an overseer at the Elm Grove Preparative Meeting. She died the 21st of 8th mo 1880. She was the mother of eight children: Emily, Minerva, Oliver H, Melissa Ann, Mary, Louisa, Samira and Jesse.
