On Monday evening, January 28th [sic] at his home in Town Prairieville, Christian Prosch, aged 73 years, 4 months and 4 days. Funeral took place yesterday at the German evangelical church, Rev. Schultz, conducting the services. Deceased was born in Germany and came to the United States in 1871, settling in this country. He was a man of high integrity and personal worth, well liked by his neighbors and friends. He leaves six sons and two daughters, namely William, John, Albert, and Henry Prosch, Mrs. Gus Bruess and Mrs. Herman Kissner of this county and Gustave and Charlie Prosch of Oregon. The cause of death was dropsy, which the patient was afflicted with for nearly two years. The body was interred in Home cemetery.
