Albert E. Headley, 85, Washington, PA, died Thursday, Dec. 11, 1980 in Washington Hospital, following an illness of one year.
He was born May 7, 1895 at Brock, Greene County, the son George Franklin and Sarah Ann Connor Headley.
He married Vada Louella Lemley, February 26, 1920, who survives.
He was a carpenter and farmer.
A Methodist by faith, he was a member of the Edwin Scott Linton Post No. 175 of the American Legion and the Veterans of World I Barracks.
He was a former resident of Greene County and for the past 25 years he maintained a winter home in Bradenton, FL.
During World War I, he served in the US Army in France.
In addition to his wife, he survived by two daughters, Mrs. Genevieve (Maynard) Murray and Mrs. Sarah Jane (Mageed) Ahwesh; two sisters Pauline (Enoch) Phillips and Bernice (the late Clovis) Wright.
He was preceded in death by a son, James R. Headley, three brothers, Byron, Fred, and Stanley Headley and three sisters Florence, Hazel, and Gertrude (Luther) Riffle.
