BENJAMIN K. ALFELOR, 78, died at Corona Regional Medical Center in Corona, Calif. He was born to Telesforo and Maria Cecilia. Mr. Alfelor served in the U.S. Navy as a Petty Officer First Class. He worked as a Naval Storekeeper assigned to Vietnam as a supply advisor. He served mostly aboard Navy Ocean Mine sweepers; also with the Military Police in Washington DC. He retired from military service in 1975, and served in the Civil Service with the Logistics Division at March AFB, Calif until his second retirement in 1993. "Uncle Ben", as he was affectionately known, was the cornerstone of the Alfelor family. He led the path for all the Alfelors to the United States, and helped enable them to pursue their dreams and a better life. He is survived by his wife of 49 years [1963]; 3 children; 5 grandchildren.
