Service Slated for 2 Couples

A combined service will be at 4 p.m. Thursday in Finley’s Morninglight chapel for Mrs. and Mrs. W. Bernhard Lundstrom and Mr. and Mrs. Sherman LeRoy (Lee) Blakkolb, whose bodies were found Saturday with their plane which crashed last March 31 in the vicinity of Fort Rock, Lake county. The two couples were returning from a Cuban air tour when they lost their lives. Committal will be private, in Riverview cemetery.

Mr. Lundstrom was business manager for Western Forest Products company , and Mr. Blakkolb was a contractor.

Born February 3, 1910, in Portland, Mr. Lundstrom spent his entire life here, as did his wife, Mrs. Helen Eva Lundstrom, who was born here July 30, 1918. Their residence was at 2215 N.E. 19th avenue and they left two children, Susan Dianne and William B. Lundstrom Jr.

Mr. Lundstrom is also survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. K. G. Lundstrom, Portland, and four brothers, Alexis A., East Orange, H.J.; Philip B., Seattle; John G., Portland, and Vincent K., Redding, Cal. Mrs. Lundstrom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Juntilla, Portland and she also leaves a brother, Robert Juntilla, Portland.

Born January 28, 1906, in Raven, Alberta, Mr. Blakkolb had been in Portland 27 years. Mrs. Thelma Blakkolb was born November 15, 1909, in Omaha, and lived 35 years in Portland.

Surviving are their children, Jerry, Thomas and Lee Blakkolb; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. G. Blakkolb; brother, George B. Blakkolb, and sister, Mrs. Walter H. Steele, all of Portland; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Myron A. Oviatt, Portland; sister, Mrs. Oral Wilbur, Portland, and brothers, Harold A. Oviatt, Glendale, Cal., and Winfield C. Oviatt, Omaha. The Blakkolbs residence was 6208 N.E. Killingsworth street.
