Ann Elizabeth Wilson Begges (1824-1905) known as "Aunt Lizzie"to the 28th President, Thomas Woodrow Wilson (1856-1924), was one of nine siblings of the President's father, Joseph Ruggles Wilson. They were from Steubenville in Jefferson County. Ann married Adam Joseph Begges from Pennsylvania, who was an appraiser at the customs office located on River Road at the dock. They had a son Henry, and a daughter, Mary Jane.
