James "Tookie" Dauzat passed away Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010, at his home at age 61. He lost his long battle with throat cancer.

He was employed by Robinson Brothers Used Cars and always enjoyed playing music and fishing in his free time. He always said that "he was born to fish, and forced to work."

He was preceded in death by his father, Buford J. Dauzat; and recently, his mother, Geraldine D. Pastor.

He is survived by his brothers, Willis P. Dauzat and wife Melanie L. Dauzat, Ronald J. Dauzat, and John K. Dauzat and wife Madeline F. Dauzat; and good friend, Bonnie Lacour.

Arrangements are pending at Wilson-Wooddale Funeral Home.
