She was born Oct. 21, 1912, in Lubbock County. She married Thomas T. Fenley in Clovis, N.M., in 1935. He died Oct. 31, 1960. She married Buck Boatright on Sept. 19, 1987. He died March 28, 2001.
She graduated from Slaton High School in 1929. She attended beautician school in Fayetteville, Ark., and was a licensed beautician. She and her first husband lived in San Antonio and the Carolinas before returning to Lubbock County in 1947 to farm. She was a Baptist who had been a member of Westview Baptist Church before becoming a member of First Baptist Church.
