Amy R. Walker, Galesburg Chapel 46, of Gilson, Ill. died 3:05 p.m. Thursday, November 29, 2012 at her home.
She was born May 14, 1966 in Galesburg the daughter of John E. and Roberta L. Hatch Bushong. She married Gary D. Walker on February 14, 1986 in Galesburg.
She is survived by her husband, Gary; three sons, Tyler, Brett, and Lukas Walker, all at home; two brothers, Lindsay (and Kelly) Bushong of Pekin, Ill. and Brian (and Annette) Bushong of Germany; two sisters, Mindy (and Roger) Thurman of Abingdon, Ill. and Jolene (and Doug) Albright of Knoxville, Ill.; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
Amy graduated from Knoxville High School in 1984 and attended Moline Lutheran School of Nursing. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Knoxville. Amy was a farmer's wife, mother, and homemaker. She enjoyed baking, decorating cakes, and was a talented home decorator.
Funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, December 3, 2012 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Rev. Michel Clark will officiate. Visitation will be 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the chapel. Burial will be in Knoxville Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Church or to the family to help establish a local hospice house. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
