He was born in Berkeley Springs, W.Va. son of the late Griffith and Ethel Speelman.
Mr. Speelman had been a farmer in the Gettysburg area almost all his life.

Wilkinson, children: Mrs. George Slaybaugh of Gettysburg; Mrs Mabel Reed of Union Bridge, Md; Albert Speelman of Warren, Mich; Sonny Speelman of New Oxford; Mrs. Helen Reynolds of Hendersonville, N,C; Arnold Speelman at home; Mrs. Albert Shultz of Hanover; Clair Speelman at home; Shirley T. Knight of New Oxford; Dolores Speelman of McSherrystown; Barbara M. Speelman at home and Mrs. Charles Carbaugh of McConnellsburg, Pa., 23 grandchildren.
Six brothers and sisters: Sherman Speelman of Aspers; Mrs. Lillian Swope of Gettysburg; Mrs. Dorothy Staub of Bonneauville; Lloyd Speelman of Gettysburg; Mrs. Ruth Shultz of Orrtanna; Mrs. Florence Wright of Lancaster and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services held at the Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg with the Rev. William H. Barr officiating. Interment will be in the Lower Marsh Creek Cemetery.
