Flemingsburg, — Daniel Eugene Archdeacon, 84, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2010, at Fleming County Hospital.

He was born Sept. 16, 1925, in Fleming County to the late James and Margaret Tierney Archdeacon.

He was a retired engineer with the C & O Railroad.

He was preceded in death by his wife Myrtle Gibson Archdeacon; a son, Ernie Archdeacon; brother, James Archdeacon Jr.; and a sister, Mary Catherine Schnell.

Survivors include children, Kathy (Don) Catron of Hillsboro, Debbie (Bob) Ingram of Morehead, Kim (Rob) Prater of Beechburg, Jennifer Archdeacon of Flemingsburg, John (Marilyn) Archdeacon of Flemingsburg, and James Archdeacon III of Flemingsburg; grandchildren, Leann Ingram McKenzie, Bobby Ingram, Amanda Catron Johnson, Melissa Catron Vice, Emily Prater, Carson Prater; and great-grandchildren, Braydon and Parker Vice, Cooper Johnson.

Services will be at 1 p.m., Thursday July 22, 2010, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home. Visitation will be after 11 a.m. until time of the service, Thursday. Internment will follow in Fleming County Cemetery.
