Visitation is 5-8 tonight at Capps Funeral Home in Tylertown. Visitation continues at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home chapel, until services there at 1 p.m. The Rev. Sid Newell will officiate. Burial will be in Rushing Cemetery.
Mrs. Lee was born Oct. 25, 1909, in Lawrence County. She was the daughter of Robert Milton Brister and Carrie Amanda Boyd Brister.
She was a retired seamstress at Haspel Brothers. She was a member of Mesa Baptist Church.
Mrs. Lee was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph Cullen Lee; one daughter, Clara Aline Lee; two brothers, Donnie and Emile Brister; four sisters, Genevieve Dalton, Melba Alexander, Dorothy Gaimes and Della Beard.
Survivors include two daughters, Virginia L. Ford and Marie Alexander, both of
Denham Springs, La.; four granddaughters, Lyn Taylor of Reidsville, Va., and Judy Alexander, Vanessa Montoya and Sandra Labourdette, all of Denham Springs; six great-grandsons, James S. Taylor and Matthew Taylor, both of Reidsville, Joshua, Casey and Scott Belgard, and Sammy Montoya, all of Denham Springs; one great-granddaughter, Amanda Hicks of Denham Springs; four sisters, Laurie Brister and Ruby Dalton, both of Monticello, Daplene Sumrall of Foxworth and Ideva Alexander of Ruth; three brothers, Edo Brister of Themopolis, Wyo., Brenell Brister of Ruth and James Brister of Slidell, La.; and a
host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be David Montoya, Joshua Belgard, Scott Belgard, Leonard LeBlanc, Olin Holiday and Randy Maness.
