Miss Effie McDaniels - The funeral of Miss Effie M. McDaniels, who died Monday at Her home 1253 Minnesota Street, will be held at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning. Interment will be in Rose City Cemetery.
Miss McDaniels was born at Blooming Prairie, Minnesota in 1872. She graduated from Winona State Normal School in 1897 and taught in Minneapolis grade schools seven years. Coming west in 1904 because of ill health, she became art supervisor in the St. Johns and Oregon City Schools. In 1914 she was elected art instructor in Jefferson High School, Portland, which position she held until her recent illness. She was president of the Portland Art Teachers' association.
Miss McDaniels was a member of Minerva chapter, Oregon Eastern Star and of the Fourth Church of Christ, Scientist, of Portland.
