Jack Haberman
SPRINGFIELD — Jack Melvin Haberman of Springfield died Nov. 24 of Alzheimer's disease and cancer-related illness. He was 85. A celebration of life is planned in the spring in Spokane.
He was born Oct. 11, 1927, in Ellensburg, Wash., to John and Ferne Charlton Haberman. He married Ruth Jones Albertus on Sept. 9, 1989, in Spokane.
He graduated from Ellensburg High School.
He served in the Army during World War II in occupied Japan.
He worked at various jobs and considered himself a farmer.
Survivors include his wife; a stepdaughter, Eden Huston of Springfield; three brothers, James of Bellevue, Wash., Patrick Haberman of St. Helena, Calif., and Michael Haberman of Spokane; and two grandchildren. His first wife, Shirley Haberman, died previously.
