Mr. Parker was preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Ophelia Parker of Screven County; and his brothers, Harrison, Emory, Leon, and Leo Parker; and his daughter, Eloise Alexander.
Mr. Parker was born in Screven County October 2, 1916. He was a member of the Bay Branch Baptist Church. He spent the early years of his life in Screven County and later moved to Millen and established Parker Motor Company with his brothers, Emory and Harrison. Parker Motor Company served the community for over 40 years.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 a. m. Tuesday, at the Green Fork Baptist Church with Dr. Ray Freeman and Rev.Grady Hargrove officiating. Burial will follow in the Millen Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife of 72 years, Lula Mae Perryman Parker; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mildred (Edsel) Higginbotham of Callahan, FL and Doris, (Grady) Godbee of Augusta; two sisters, Elease Clarke and Louise Perryman both of Millen; a brother, Millard Parker of Augusta; a son-in-law, Ronald Alexander of Perkins; five grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren.
Active Pallbearers will be Jeff Godbee, Derek Alexander, Louis Parker, Mike Giles, John Powell, Mark Gresham, Tyler Powell, and Hunter Alexander. Visitation will be Monday from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Crowe-Fields Funeral Home.
