They were in Big Thompson Canyon, Colorado on the night of July 31, 1976 when a flash flood went through the canyon and took 143 lives.
She was survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Baker of Tazewell; sisters, Mrs. Lester (Angie) Ramsey of Morristown, Mrs. Melvin (Lucille) Coody of Jacksonville, Fla., Mrs. Robert (Ruth) Archer of Rock Springs, Ga.; brothers, Earl Baker of Pound, Va., Jimmy Wayne and Charles Baker of Tazewell, and Larry Baker of Johnson City, Tenn.
Services held Aug. 17 in Little Mulberry Church with interment in Harkins Cemetery. Coffey Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements.
