Smith – Services for Ms. Josephine Smith, 49, of 716 W. Washington, who was found dead of natural causes Thursday, will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, with Rev. F.D. Johnson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Thursday in Clark's Funeral Home.
Ms. Smith was born on May 1, 1927, in South Bend and lived here all her life. Surviving are four sons, Johnny and Paul Hawkins, Terry Lee Starkey and Clyde L. Butler Jr., all of South Bend; two daughters, Ms. Irene Smith of Benton Harbor, Mich., Ms. Diane Hawkins of South Bend; two half-brothers, William and Lee Hall, both of South Bend, and a sister, Mrs. Corine Nelson of South Bend.
