Hilda 'Ruth' Thomas, age 81, of Elkhart, Texas died November 27, 2012 at Cartmell Home for Aged. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster. She was born April 15, 1931 in Springfield Community to Charlie and Ovell Davis Garner. Mrs. Thomas was a member of the Walston Springs Baptist Church. She was retired from Brazziel Drugs and from Walston Springs Water Supply. Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James Raymond Thomas in 1997, her infant sons Walter Raymond Thomas and Charlie Lee Thomas. She is survived by her son Larry Thomas and wife Terry of Elkhart, a brother Robert Garner of Nederland, two grandchildren Lindsay Hudson and husband Cole, and Jason Lance Thomas, great grandchildren, Ali Thomas, Brynne Thomas, Kate Hudson, Karleigh Hudson and Kadence Hudson.
