SOMERVILLE - Millard Woodford Bowling, 74, retired farmer, died Saturday morning at Methodist Hospital of Somerville after a long illness. Services were Sunday at Peebles Fayette County Funeral Home with burial in Hebron Cemetery in Stanton.

He was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran and a member of Belmont Methodist Church near here.

Bowling, the husband of Zelma Steward Bowling, leaves a daughter, Mrs. Carol Short of Stanton; a son, Millard W. Bowling Jr. of Mason; four sisters, Mrs. Irene McEdwards of Winter Springs, Fla., Mrs. Earline McNabb of Gallaway, Mrs. Mary Redfearn of Somerville and Ms. Barbara Bowling of Memphis; five brothers, Leland Bowling of Gallaway, Smith Bowling and Jim Bowling, both of Somerville, and Eldridge Bowling and Robert Bowling, both of Memphis, and three grandchildren
