Obituary from the Edwardsville Intelligencer (Edwardsville, Madison County, Illinois), Monday, August 22, 1966:
   Miss Edna Weir, daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Edward Weir of this city, died Sunday at 9:15 a.m. at Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home in Mt. Morris, Ill.
   Miss Weir, formerly librarian at the Edwardsville High School, had resided at 715 N. Main St. A native of Edwardsville, she had made her home in this city until moving to the nursing home in July, 1962.
   She was born March 16, 1887. Her mother was the former Frances Terry.
   Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. W.O. (Marjorie) Hughes of Trenton, Mich., and Mrs. Josephine Hadley of Rockford.
   Miss Weir was a member of St. John's Methodist Church, the Land of Goshen Historical Society and the Madison County Historical Society. The Weir family residence now houses the Madison County Historical Museum.
   Final rites will be from St. John's Memorial Chapel at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Donald Maple, assistant pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
   There will be no visitation. The Lesley Marks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
