Anne (Annie) Belle (Gaston) SUTCLIFFE was the daughter of George and Mandana Isabelle ("Belle") (Bush) GASTON, and the granddaughter of Moses and Rebecca (MacDonald) GASTON and of William Owen and Mandana (Smith) BUSH -- early pioneers of the area and original family of the "Bush Prairie" area.

Annie Belle was married to Robert SUTCLIFFE, and the marriage ended in divorce some time between 1934 and 1940 -- it does not appear that there were any children. The year of their marriage was some time between 1921 (date implied from the 1930 census) and 1924/1925 (date implied from a death notice for Annie's mother in 1924, where she is referred to as "Miss Annie Belle GASTON".....

Annie was also the sister of George William GASTON.

The GASTON family was originally from Ireland, and the ancestors of this branch settled in the Pugwash area of Nova Scotia, Canada. Between 1860 and 1880, a good portion of the clan moved out west, and settled in the Olympia / Tumwater (Bush Prairie) area, as well as another branch which settled in the Clearwater Co, Idaho area, and seemingly thrived.

I have been able to find out quite a bit of Annie and this branch of the GASTON clan, but am always on the look-out for more info. So, if anyone happens to know more about Annie Belle (Gaston) SUTCLIFFE, especially between the years of 1934 and 1940, when she was married to Robert SUTCLIFFE, and then between 1940 and 1957, I would love to hear from you (use the EDIT button, please).

It is with extreme humility and honor that I present my 1st cousin, 3x removed's memorial here.

May you rest in peace.
