Ima Henri [Dorn] Wallace was born in Gage, Ok. to James and Hattie Dorn. She moved to Emory, Tx. age 3 in a covered wagon. Moved to Dunbar age 5. She attended college at Gunter, Tx. She was baptized age 17 Gunter Church of Christ. On returning to Dunbar she married Charles M. [Charlie] Wallace Dec. 24, 1924. They married at her parents outside at dawn. They moved to Ginger, Tx. where Charlie worked for Ginger Brick plant until he was seariously injured. They moved to Wills Point, Tx. until he recovered. Moved back to Dunbar and bought a store from W. E. Bullard Oct. 1930. She was the treasurer for the cemetery and the Union Church for several years. In the early 1950s they moved the store on highway 19. In the spring of 1958 they closed the store and moved to Dallas, Tx. Where she worked for the Dallas City Park and Recreation. and Bowen Supermarket. She had 5 children; Charles James [Lt. Charles], Mary Paulee, Laura Ann, Geretta Sue, and Jerry Glenn. and 5 grand children.
