Services for Allison R. Avinger, 65, of Ranger, will be at the Brady Funeral Home. The time was pending this morning.
Mr. Avinger died at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Hospital in Fort Worth.
He was born Nov. 17, 1909 to the late Rufus P. and Willie Sullivan Avinger, pioneers of Brown and Coleman Counties.
He was a Baptist and attended school at Concord, Cedar Point, Brownwood and Bangs and the Brownwood Business College.
Survivors include his wife, Mattie, and two daughters, Carolyn and Robin of the home; a son, Charles A. Avinger, of New Milford, Conn.; two brothers, M. A. Avinger of Silver Springs, Md. and A. B. Avinger of Brady; two sisters, Mrs. 0. L. (Camille) Lee of Fort Worth and Mrs. Jim Marshall of Lake Brownwood; and an aunt, Mrs. Anna Whitfield of Brownwood.
