Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, 2001, in St. Peter Lutheran Church, Campbell Hill with the Rev. Gregory J. Schultz officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Friday and from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. Saturday at Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Mr. Bodenschatz was a retired farmer.
He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church and AAL.
He was born April 8, 1909, in Cape County, Mo., to Herman and Rose (Langraf) Bodenschatz.
He married Elsie Ruth Kranawetter on June 14, 1969, in Christ Lutheran Church in Jacob. She survives of Ava.
Other survivors include one son, Allen Vernon and Sandra Bodenschatz of Kimberling City, Mo.; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Cleo Arthur of Prestton, Mo., Marie Wachter of Perryville, Mo., and Gertrude Nieters of Ebandale, Iowa.
His parents, three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter Lutheran Church Window Fund or to the St. Peter Lutheran Church General Fund.
