Journal Gazette, The (Fort Wayne, IN) - Monday, February 12, 2001 Deceased Name: WILLIAM CALVIN FLORY WILLIAM CALVIN FLORY, 77, of Portland and formerly of Bellfountaine, died Saturday at Adams County Memorial Hospital, Decatur. Born in Jay County, he retired from Portland Forge in 1986 after 38 years. He had also retired from farming. Surviving are his wife, Marie; a daughter, Marilyn M. Bickel of rural Portland; a brother, Gerald of Portland; two sisters, Annabelle Smith of Portland and Ruby Mertz of Tucson, Ariz.; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Services at1 p.m. Thursday in the Portland Chapel of Williamson & Spencer Funeral Home. Calling from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Burial in Salamonia Cemtery. Memorials to the Jay County Heart Foundation.
