Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Aug. 25, 1994, in the Fellowship Church of God.

Mrs. Fountaine died of an apparent heart attack in her Northeast Portland home Aug. 21. She was 69.

She was born Oct. 27, 1925, in Bellvue, Kan. Her maiden name was George.

Mrs. Fountaine was on the board of directors of the L.I.F.E. Center, Citizen Progress through Law, Albina Women's League and the Albina Citizen's Council. She was founder of Vernon Neighborhood Care Association, on the administrative board of Model Cities, a founder and board member of the Albina Citzen's Council and a founder of Vernon Neighborhood Care Association.

Survivors include her sons, Edwin J. Jr. , Gary A. and Timothy J., all of Portland; daughter, Camilla Anne of Seattle; sisters, Mary I. Buckles and Jimmy Murphy, both of Sacramento, Calif., Melissa Jane Davis of Sapulpa, Okla., and Margaret Jaeger of Bridgeport, Neb.; brother John E. George of Las Cruces, N.M.; and nine grandchildren.

Interment will be in River View Cemetery. Arrangements: Killingsworth Little Chapel of the Chimes.
