Mr. Kenneth Randolph Bailey, 80, of Ben Putman Road SW in Resaca, died Monday, Nov. 19, in Redmond Medical Center following an extended period of declining health.

Mr. Bailey was born on Aug. 19, 1932, in Floyd County, son of the late Q.C. and Viola Carter Bailey. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean War and was retired from Textile Rubber Inc. after 32 years of employment. He was a member and deacon of Hillcrest Baptist Church.

Mr. Bailey was preceded in death by four sisters, Olivia Bailey, Blanche King, Anna Lou Allen and Elizabeth Mashburn, and by seven brothers, Marvin, Oscar, Lelton, C.F., Lewis, Foy and Nobel Bailey.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Lou Duvall Bailey, to whom he was married for 59 years; one daughter, Delana Bailey Sloan of Calhoun; one son, Kenneth Randall Bailey of Resaca; two sisters, Geraldine Worley and Jeanette Barnette, both of Calhoun; brother, T.J. "Dude" Bailey of Calhoun; two granddaughters, Holly Michelle Cochran and Stephanie Michelle Bailey; two great-grandchildren, Tyler Reese Cochran and Zane Hunter Cochran; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services for Mr. Kenneth Randolph Bailey will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. from the Chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Bo Evans, the Rev. Jackie Chastain and the Rev. Jimmy Edge officiating with music to be arranged by Mrs. Norma Ingle.

Interment will follow in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Whitfield County.

Pallbearers serving will include Rodney Bailey, Phillip Duvall, Wes Mullins, Woody Mullins, Carey Parris and Randy Callaway.

The Bailey family will receive friends today between 6 and 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
