I note that the Richwood Cemetery Burial Listing, by Ruth Wade Cox Brunings (2012) spells his first name, Frances, (with an e) and sets forth these parents for him. So perhaps his first name was spelled like his mother's first name (but the posted photo also shows Francis inscribed on his tombstone). This same listing denotes that he served in World War II, and with a death year of 1943; perhaps he died in military service, medical corps?
