1. John Sherman Staley born 1887 married young Sally Wombles who was born Clay County, Kentucky. John is buried in an unmarked grave beside his brother William Dayton in the Edgar Cemetery. His wife Sally & only child Ben are buried in the Sims Cemetery.
2. William Dayton Staley born 1890 married Gertrude (Keeling or Troop) who was born in Kentucky. They had 5 children. William is buried in the Edgar Cemetery next to brother John. His infant Marvin is also buried in Edgar Cemetery. Not yet known death & burial of Gertrude.
3. Ella Ann Staley born 1893, first married Marion Mulkins. Widowed, Ella marries William Wallace. She had children with both spouses. Buried Sims Cemetery with 1st spouse & child Walter.
4. Emma Jane Staley born 1897, married Edward Dick, who was raised by the John Pingle family, & had 5 children. Edward died as a transient farm worker in 1949 in Fairmont, Minnesota. Widow Emma married widow Ben Wombles, father-in-law of her brother John Sherman. Emma & Ben Wombles are Buried in the Edgar Cemetery.
Note: Emma's daughter Louise, married Ben's son Ernest Wombles. They cared for William Staley in his final years in Paris. they are also buried in the Edgar Cemetery.
