Together they have 5 children, 4 who survive to adulthood. William & Lucinda live most of their married lives in Hume, taking in widowed mother-in-law Elizabeth Staley in 1910. Lucinda dies in Hume in 1932 at age 69. Widower William moves into town in Paris, Illinois with his granddaughter Louise Dick Wombles family by 1940. William dies at age 92, and is buried with Lucinda in the Young America Cemetery.
