Stephen was first married to Rosalia Weitz. They were the parents of Stanley Stephen Pawlicki. After Rose's death, he remarried and then was divorced. The children from that union are shown in his obituary. Stephen made his living as a huckster.

The death certificate shows his date of birth as 22 Aug 1895 and that he died in his home from coronary sclerosis at the age of 44. However, the date of birth on his marker is probably his correct date of birth and would have made him 50 when he died.

Obituary as published in the Toledo Blade on 23 Apr 1940:

Stephen Pawlicki, of 1501 Woodland Avenue died suddenly yesterday following a heart attack. He is survived by a daughter: Mrs Florence Cielinski; sons, Alphonse Winkle and Charles Pawlicki; sister, Mrs Laura Ross; brothers, Joseph, Michael, Frank, Anthony and Walter; and four grandchildren. The services will be Friday at 8:30 a.m. in the S G Gasiorowski Funeral home and at 9:00 a.m. in St Teresa's Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
