Gordon Abbe, 52, Elysian, passed away Sunday, Nov. 7, 1982 in Blooming Grove Township. Funeral services were held Thursday, Nov. 11, 1982 at 10:00 a.m. at Prosch Funeral Home in Waterville with Rev. Jay Humphreys of Elysian officiating. Burial was in Cedar Hill cemetery in Elysian.
Pallbearers were Richard Mende, Whitney Hill, Robert Hill, Paul Abbe, Mark Abbe, and Alan Mende.
Mr. Abbe was born January 17, 1930 in Janesville Township, Waseca County to William and Emma Abbe. He married Darlene Fennert on October 28, 1959 in Northwood, Iowa. She preceded hin in death on Dec. 31, 1975. He was a laborer during his lifetime.
He is survived by one son, Gordon Abbe Jr. of Janesville and one daughter, Penny Abbe of Janesville; three brothers, Harvey of Duluth, Ivory of Elysian and Giles of Waterville; and three sisters, Mrs. R. B. (Exilda) Welsh of Winnebago, Mrs. Goldie Hill of Elysian, and Betty Lou McNamee of Waseca. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and two sisters.
